About Racheal
Racheal Little, M.A.L.S., is the founder of Kollege Kompass LLC and an educational consultant and professional development facilitator with more than a decade of experience across early childhood development, special education, classroom instruction, student support, family coaching, and professional development.
Her professional background includes work as an early interventionist, developmental therapist, classroom teacher, substitute educator, student advocate, educational consultant, and professional development facilitator.
Those experiences have allowed Racheal to see education from multiple perspectives—not only through the experiences of students, but also through the work of the educators, administrators, families, and organizations responsible for helping them learn, develop, and move forward.
She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Liberal Studies with an emphasis in English and a Master of Arts in Interdisciplinary Studies and Special Education from the University of Memphis.
The Perspective Behind Kollege Kompass
Throughout her work in education, Racheal repeatedly encountered a challenge that would help shape Kollege Kompass: what educators work hard to teach or communicate does not always connect with students in the way they intend.
That disconnect isn't necessarily the result of a lack of effort on either side.
Sometimes the challenge lies in how information is communicated, how expectations are understood, how instruction connects to a student's circumstances, or whether students recognize how what they are learning relates to where they are trying to go.
Racheal's experience led her to an important conclusion: improving student success cannot always begin—or end—with the student. The organizations, educators, and administrators surrounding students shape much of their educational experience. Creating better outcomes for students therefore also means investing in the people and organizations responsible for guiding, teaching, leading, and supporting them.
That perspective has become central to the evolving work of Kollege Kompass.

Racheal's approach combines encouragement with practical planning.
Her work is grounded in a genuine commitment to helping people recognize their abilities and move forward with greater confidence. But she also believes encouragement is most useful when people have the knowledge, tools, and responsibility to act on it.
Whether she is facilitating professional development with educators and administrators or working with students through an organization-sponsored program, Racheal wants participants to leave with more than inspiration.

The K.O.M.P.A.S.S.™ Method
Drawing from her experience across education, student support, and professional development, Racheal developed the K.O.M.P.A.S.S.™ Method as a practical framework for moving from uncertainty toward greater direction.
The method incorporates self-awareness, ownership, planning, action, skill development, and opportunity to help participants better understand where they are, where they are trying to go, and what is required to move forward.
Within Kollege Kompass's professional development and consulting work, the framework can help educators and administrators think more intentionally about their own practice and about the students they are responsible for reaching.
The principles can also be applied directly with students, helping them develop greater awareness, ownership, direction, and readiness for the educational and career decisions ahead.
In both settings, the underlying principle is the same: direction becomes more useful when it leads to purposeful action.
